Māui-tinei-ahi is a fire-safety programme produced by the New Zealand Fire Service for year 1 and 2 students in Māori-medium classrooms. The resources align with Te Marautanga o Aotearoa.
The Māui-tinei-ahi programme was developed by kaiako, kaiāwhina, Māori liaison firefighters, and other educators.
The Ka Ora a Tāmati me Mokopeke i te Ahi interactive story is an integral component of the Māui-tinei-ahi resource. The story reinforces key fire-safety messages.
Please note that this downloadable interactive story is also provided on the Māui-tinei-ahi Kura DVD.
